Day 4 Angkor Wat

Day 4 - Angkor Wat (Nicky) to be continued.... What an amazing day !! We had heard that angkor Wat is the sight to visit in Cambodea but it far exceeded our expectations! We left bright and early to avoid the crowds and visited one of the smaller temples. It had been featured in Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie. Day 5 - Seim Reap to Phenom Penh (Colin) Yet another early start - up at 5:30, off at 6:30 by bus. It's the Cambodian New Year holiday, so the roads are packed. Turned out to be a total white knuckle drive with constant overtaking of vehicles (motor bikes with up to 5 people per 50cc motorbike, one motorbike even had a dead pig!). We stopped for lunch at a small road side restaurant where among other things we had a tarantula crawl over us, we ate grass hoppers, deep fried tarantula and a very tasty frog stuffed with coriander. We were very pleased to meet up with Jason & Lisa in the afternoon - they travelled over by overnight bus from Nah Trang in Vietnam. Together with our tour group we went on a walking tour of Phenom Penh, followed by dinner at a restaurant that supports orphaned kids.
